This is Ogden Point Beacon with Holland America Line's "Oosterdam" Cruise ship departing for Seattle. Taken as a 30 second exposure, it will likely challenge some viewers to figure out what the consequential blur is in the distance.
As a resident of Alberta, seeing ships of this size float past you is sublime leaving you longing for adventure. It was coincidental the departure was at midnight as I was slugging around the area looking for some cool shots anyhow. A stroll to the end of the breakwater, a full moon, a lighthouse and cruise ship is all you need for a great evening of photography. Enjoy. |

| Cool, like a ghost ship. I would probably like this image better without the ship, actually. I like the colours of the lighthouse and the night sky. |
