Hi TCGuru - I agree with the others that the crop and more intense greens do this flower a world of good. There might be a bit more that could be done with this image if you'd like. There is still quite a bit of detail in those whites and you can bring it out with a gentle application of Curves in PS.

I really think the stronger greens and the closer crop are fantastic additions. |

Lovely crop and editing. I find the deeper greens very appealing. |

Much improved, especially with the stronger greens here. I like that the flower itself is a nice, crisp white, too. Nicely done! |

I remember a show for kids when I was a youngling. After mentioning all the fun things the show had to offer, they said “if your not careful you might learn something”. That might be the case here. In truth if your first image was taken by me, I would have reviewed my card, and probably deleted the photo, Yet you saw the diamond in the rough, Nice edit! |

I really like the deep greens of the background, as it makes the flower pop out. I was flipping back and forth between the two images and I was wishing that you had more space to work with on the right side, but no go. whaddya gonna do, right? The only thing that kinda nags me is that little offshoot from the stem, just under the flower. If this were advanced editing I would cloned that little sucker out. :-) Nice transformation! |

Definitely an improvement. I like the improved contrast. It has a lot more depth. I would like to have seen more detail in the flower petals, but I think the petals are probably a little blown out in the original shot, so that isn't really resolvable in editing.
I'm not sure I like the squarish crop. I think cropping the top off was good, but I'm wondering if a skinnier crop (cut some off the right side) would work better, since the lines in the shot are all vertical. |

Very nicely done. The added punch of color and the contrasts are greater in this after shot than the before. The photo has more visual impact with the greater contrasts such that the daisy now shines out from the backdrop - and the color hues are richer and deeper rather than flat as the original shows. |
