 My first submission, take it easy!

Happened to be in the Cape for my first challenge. Found this scene while frantically looking for a shot during last light of the day. Quite a bit of editing, not very sure of what I was doing but gave it a shot. Best sunset had a great back ground but too dark foreground. So added a layer with the brighter boats. Pretty sure I followed the rules. Any comments would be much appreciated.

I thought you're timing on this was excellent. I'm a sucker for a good landscape at dusk/dawn and finding one with a couple of boats to boot just made it all that much sweeter. :-) I love the color, and you did an excellent job on post-processing to bring the boats back.

It's hard to tell they're boats but that color is too...wow! I'll give it an 8.

Beautful color in the sky - almost unatural, boats & fore ground cold be more interesting or maybe silhouette

The light on the boats is wonderful. Sky doesn't look real to me but it works with the blackish grass and the silver boats.

Nice colours in the sky but the rest of the photo is so dark that the boats are almost lost. Horizon is a bit too centered too.

Oh My! That's a striking sky! However, it tends to overpower the boats in the overall composition. A wee bit dark on the bottom half of the shot too. Still a striking pic. *6*

For me, this photograph is more about the sky than the boats, so much so it took me a second to see them.
