hey man, you got robbed here. i don't really care for most of the top 10 shots in this challenge, because many of them don't show character. your's does and it also shows an attitude. i agree with some comments tho that the eyes are a tad soft and need a catchlight, but otherwise it's nicely done and should of deserved top 10.
greets :) chris

Still, as I said, an interesting and provocative shot, so I think it stands out in the challenge.

To you and all the comments bellow regarding the focus:
I don't see any problem with it. Additionally, I didn't do it on the forehead but on her eyes. The focus came out exactly the way I wanted, sharp on her eyes / mouth and soft on her hair / ears.

Nice shot in terms of composition in lighting. The focus is off unfortunately. (Strangely the good focus is on her forehead)

Just not fair. Her eyes and lips are so stunning, that it is impossible to take a bad shot of her ;0) Nice portrait of a gorgeous woman. I hope she does modeling, because she needs too!

Nice it only needs some catch light in the eyes

I had to look it up: A femme fatale is a sensuous, alluring woman who often leads men into danger ...

Well, that is this femme in spades. Love it. I don't know if you planned the slight blue color case, but it either works or doesn't distract. I haven't decided.

Reminds me of shots by TOY. The thing I noticed first is the focus seems a little soft on the eyes. You've got a beautiful model, you want those eyes to sparkle.
05/30/2008 01:27:10 AM
I wish the focus was sharper.

Nice skin tones with good lighting. Though some of her hairs are adding to the composition but I didn't like her flat shoulders in the composition.
05/29/2008 12:24:55 AM
The shoulders seem to be out of focus when compared to the face. I think that if this were advance you could probably correct that a bit by burning the bottom edges a little, but in basic it really draws my attention away from the face.

Interesting pose, makeup and composition. Dont like the overhead shadows so much, would've helped to have a reflector or more fill under her chin.
05/28/2008 09:44:33 AM
Love the lighting, expression, framing! Think it could of used a bit more light in the eyes as they seem a bit shadowed? Excellent though well done

Now this works. The lighting, colors and directness are all winners. 8
