 Not 100% sure what this is. There are two of them in this park. I remember playing on them as a kid.

I think this is a 3inch naval AA gun from World War 2 (possibly World War I but I don't think its quite that old, maybe inter war years).

The focus point on the image seems to be on the the trees behind the gun, rather than the gun itself.

My guess is artillery from WWII or even earlier - probably off a Naval ship. There may be some information on that plaque next to the bench.
