Took this at a little path under the elevated metro station. Just past this what appears to be shady alley, is probably the most glamorous posh district of Tokyo, Ginza

Here's what you see when you exit the alley (a block or so away)

Following some suggestions heres a version with noise added

This is a fantastic image, and all the more so because it is in black and white.

so cool, a great street capture and perfect for b&w. I prefer the grain verion more, adds a bit more grit to the back ally feel, adding a bit more tension and street feel.

Well spotted. Interesting shot with lots to look at. I do prefer the original too.

Very nicely composed, lots of stuff to look at, light shirt stands out well.

FWIW, I prefer the original version over the grainy one.

I like the continued journey where you show us where this leads. Nice catch, and I can't decide whether I prefer it with or without grain.

Good looking shot, lots of bits and pieces to let your eyes wander over. Not a big fan of adding noise. Get better looking noise by underexposing a little when shooting at a higher iso and then pushing the exposure level up in post. I think the shot looks pretty good w/o the noise though.

I think I prefer the noise version more as it adds character to the alley. I like it that she is centered a and her top creates a symmetry with the signs to her right. It gives a sense of walking in the path as a viewer.

An excellent shot. I agree with twmax - a spot of grain wouldn't hurt this at all.

Nice urban night time scene. I like the way the details emerge out of the darkness. Also, the smooth textures look great, but gets me wondering what it might look like with some grain added.
