This was actually natural lighting, it looks almost artificial I thought. I went down to the lake and the sun was hanging out with some clouds and decided to offer me some cool lighting. I wanted to do something unique so I popped the 12-24 on and messed around with this for a little while. I really liked the way this turned out. I'm not expecting a whole lot out of it, but we will see. Best of luck to all.

Ah, is that you, Ryan? I liked this - gave it a 6. The score is suprisingly low.

The shirt is too light against the dark of the background.

Hey dude, thought I´d just rather comment here than reply to your email. I dig this shot but still, not really got that "wow" factor. The lighting on you is good, I especially like the eyes and the catchlight in them and there is good texture in your face, hair and front of the shirt. The colors are also very good, really to my taste and so is the contrast. I don´t really like wide angle shots of people, makes things that are close seem much larger than they really are, in this case, your nose. Also the angle it´s shot at is cool and different but there is still something "off" about it and it actually gives me slight vertigo, it´s a little uncomfortable to look at, think the dark backround that you can´t quite make out is causing that, if it was more easily indentifiable, like a floor with tiles or a little river stream it would be more pleasing to the eye.

Anyway, cool shot, would have voted a 6 had I voted and at least it stands out from the crowd, it took me exactly 3 seconds to spot it from the thumbnails :)
