 hah, this title was definitely made by googling the french word for beautiful.

needless to say i had no clue what i wanted to name this.

not really any editing done except levels and curves adjustments

A few Fun outtakes (and the last two I almost entered, except I strugged with having to use shallow DOF b/c it was literally after sunset, and was using available light and no flash :P i LOVE my 85mm :} although I lost a lot of detail on a few :( )




Ok, I have to say I'm yet again on top of the world. Larus a while back told me "now the stress is on you so you're not a one hit wonder", and I can happily say I don't have to worry about that anymore since this is my 2nd ribbon.

Funny story. When I was trying to think of a good title for this, I was blank. So, me being the not french speaking person I am, I googled "Beautiful" +french" and this word popped up, and before I double checked it I put this, Écouter, thinking it meant "beautiful" and would be a fancy shmancy title. Well for some reason the title along with the picture does not scream out :

A little side lighting would add more depth to her face, still...Her eyes are captivating. One of my favorite. Very well done.

I really love headshots. You done a nice job with this one. Eyes are crisp in focus. Your outdoor lighting is good. The one thing that keeps me from giving you a 10 is the hand placement. The index and middle finger give the illusion of being quite a bit longer because they curl over the rock and are not in the same plane as the ring and pinky. 9 One of my top picks.

She does seem to listen... to someone, but what I wonder. Absolutely beautiful girl and flawless skin and gorgeous eyes; pity about the finger nails. Great color balance and DOF control.

Wow, very nice. Some people might complain about the reflection of the photographer (I guess) in the eyes, but there's not much you can do about that.

If so, you have a nice model.... I think this one turned out a bit better. I see you like shallow DOF, I think I'd like to see this with the chin in sharp.

Visually my eyes are definitely drawn to hers.. bravo on that... then they wander to her fingertips which are also in the focal plane.. boo on that. Close, but not perfect..
