This is a literal last minute shot (well ok, around 8pm), but then I had a (very soon to be) 6 yr-old to get to bed (my wife was out last minute birthday shopping). In this photo I grabbed the last warm rays of natural sunlight. I wish her hair was dry, but there was no time for that. We had fun! For every "good" shot I have 4 "goofy" ones. :-)

He-he. Make a little slip and BOY do the commenters let you know. :-) I have trouble with red tones (partially colorblind I think). I remember thinking how I really liked the warmth of the late day lighting...didn't think hard enough about it being "too" warm. I did make a minor adjustment, but not enough for impacting the score in a positive manner. Ah well. I'm going to take all of the shots from this outing and make a fun slideshow for her (especially including all the "silly" shots!). :-)

Lovely smile -has the makings of an excellent portrait but the pink caste detracts for me.

i'll bet this was taken at sunset to get the golden/rosy color, but my first thought upon seeing this was "oh boy, white balance is way off, that or it's over saturated" beautiful portrait otherwise. :)

The red cast is negative, does not add anything to the picture.

Love the bokeh, expression and composition. The reddish color cast bugs me a bit, I would have liked the color to be more on the natural side. Still this is a good effort! 6

I really like the shot I think it's an excellent pose an expression, but if you tone down their red just a little bit on her face it would even be better.

I've looked at this photo on 2 different monitors, both calibrated, and this photo has too much red tint in it for me. Nice smile though!

I like the sense of warmth of this shot but, on my monitor anyway, the shot seems overly pink.
