 This image was taken in Eastern Oregon on the side of the road. No lookouts were around so my friend and I had to hop the fence to get down to a great position, if this had been taken from the highway, we would be looking at a side view of this valley. Even though there's nothing secret about it, it still a beautiful shot.

1. Got at an angle so that I was looking down the valley to the end.
2. Turned off all flashes.
3. Waited for some light to shine through the clouds onto the hills/walls of the valley. Tilted camera sideways at a 45 degree angle.
4. It was a cloudy day

I like the composition. Would like a little more detail on the center of interest which to me is the object on the horizon a little left of center.
