Shot through my mother's living room window. Regular springtime flooding creates chaos on her property. Today we could only see it from the inside, as it rained all day.

My comment below should say 'only very slightly flawed', instead of being quite so brusque sounding. Lovely shot, this, and deserved a better placing, and certainly a better score.

*sigh* This is beautiful. I rarely buy prints from other photographers, but I feel like I'd buy an 8x10 of this. :) Superb

Very cool, love the border. Great background/foreground relationship!

This is a great image. In fact, it's my favorite of the week :) I never get tired of this theme, and when you couple it with a nice contraty black and white, I can't resist.

This photo reminds me of my younger years before I ever started school. Rainy days were the worst. I can specifically remember standing at the window looking out and seeing the trees in the yard through the wet glass.

Excellent work...

Absolutely stunning, has to be a ribbon. I love the crispness of the water against the softness of the trees. The simple border also adds a lot of impact. Sensational. 10

I have a fondness for this kind of stuff - I find it evocative (perhaps I just have a fondness for this kind of mood, really). I do wish you hadn't done that with the border though - it rather puts it into the faux art greetings-card terrritory, rather than letting the mood stand on its own. Which is not to say I don't think it will be effective here ... I wish, in terms of dpc entries, my visual imagination extended to such things. A very good shot, flawed. 8.

Good idea. Could work for windows challenge too. B/W works well here.

I really like this photo. I don't see a strong element of chaos, though.

I'm not getting 'chaos' here...

Nice shot but I'm not sure itis chaos? Is the rain fake?

Very moody shot. Not too fond of the border though - I think I would have preferred the rain drops to go all the way to the edge. Good luck though - it's a very interesting photo.
