Bringing us closer to your subject is always a plus. The After composition improves dramatically from the original simply because now your main subject fills the frame. The brightness/contrast brightened her face and improved the flat colors in the skin tones seen in the original. The addition of catchlights in her eyes is a nice touch - a twinkle in her eyes. Good job. |

I like the enhancement of the catchlights in her eyes. Good choice of crop as well... the light is very flat though, perhaps some dodge and burn for shadows to give it depth? Only other issue is that she is not looking at the camera but slightly to the right. NOT something I know how to fix in PP LOL All in all, nice work with the PP. It did the photo justice. |

I'm curious, why didnt you straighten the tree? It would have made her shoulders more even. Did it make her head too tilted? Wonderful portrait - I like how the orange repeats in the background, shirt, hair tie and hair highlights. |
