 A lot of Photoshop work in this. The combining of the three exposures for the HDR was not perfect and there is some ghosting that is not as evident with this size format. I'm hoping that fact will be missed in the judging as I've been working at getting a perfect version I can print but haven't had much luck yet.

This is Mirror Lake in Yosemite National Park looking up at Half Dome. The mosquitos were brutal at this point so doing handheld exposure bracketing was often a bit of holding my breathe and ignoring the little bastards flying around my face. HDR is pretty new to me so I've been doing a ton of experimenting. Hopefully this will do well up against the phenominal photographers here. Maybe I can get another photo over the 50% hump.

I started with the HDR image produced by Photomatix along with its color mapping. I then used Photoshop to actually tone the colors down a little, dodge and burn, curves, exposure, etc. The ghosting is killing me, though.

Shutter and aperture are for the auto-exposure in the camera. The other two exposures were 1/500, F11 for the under and 1/125, F5.6 for the over.

Not sure this is an HDR, the light is rather strange with flat shadows but oversaturated greens.
Good classical composition though.

nice...it feels a little skewed in the horizon for some reason...colours are nice
