 Handheld, shot directly into the setting sun as it filtered through the trees behind this bird. Free Studies aren't really my thing, but I liked this rather unique look at a peacock.

Not much processing here- mostly saturation and sharpness adjustments.

Great idea - wonderful backdrop.

Love the title, sets up the idea of the picture perfectly and lends weight to the rich golden colour in the background.

I wonder whether it could have been cropped a little tighter on the right though - say to the edge of the circle behind his head/neck ? There just doesn't seem to be a lot happening in that last inch.

A great shot though - should have done better.
