this was a droplet suspended on a spider's web ...
it was extremely difficult to photograph, being so delicate and light, the slightest puff of a breeze would make it move .. it didnt stop moving even when there was no breeze i could feel ..
this is one original .. i used three photographs to get the finished product . this one had the best focus on the leading droplet but it wasnt positioned where i wanted it ..

i combined the three photographs so i could get some detail on the droplets going up the web and the bokeh in the middle ..
processing steps after combining the three photographs were:
shadow and highlight ..
nik software/color efex pro 3.0/duplex
nik software/color efex pro 3.0 /glamour glow
kodak airbrush droplets which sharpened them ..
adjustment layers in levels and brightness and contrast ..
resized and sharpened
logo and another adjustment layer in levels to lighten a bit ..

Rozzie! You have outdone yourself on this one. I love the little droplet suspended there, and moving through wind and space..
you are such a talent! I feel like I am traveling through space with it! Great job woman!!

I'm smiling for you Roz. I was happy to see you in this little challenge because I admire your "omlet " style of editing images into each other. You made a visual treat.
I can't do that ..........yet.

WoW... what a change. I was very surprised by the change in position of the ... tube like thing... sorry, I don't know what it is. You surely brightened up an otherwise flat image. I like it.

Just an observation, I was left wanting to see what was in the scene in the droplet.

Hey Roz!!

I wasn't going to participate in this side, but since I have to process everything anyway, I thought I might as well. People are going to learn a lot from you here - the Processing Queen!!

Love this image - it's so intriguing and surreal. Love the effect you achieved by using several photos and layering them. The sharpness is unreal.

This is one of those shots I probably would have pegged for a lost cause when I saw the original, but you've done an amazing job with it! The bright complimentary colors, the details in the strand of drops, and the sharpness of the main drop where you can see the reflection of the world are all right on. Very nicely done!
