This is one of my cats, Ira. His younger brother is much less tolerant of the camera.

I really like how the cat is in the shadow, with the ball behind. To me, it's a pleasing composition, good pose.

Tough exposure with the bright white behind the subject, but it came out okay. Interesting that you got the movement (twitch?) of the ear but the rest of the cat is in focus. Looks like a very nice cat.

I like that angled shadow in the background, it parallels his body nicely. I think Ira is looking for some mischief behind you!

I like the tones...difficult work considering the tough light behind.

I too would love to see some light on his face and eyes

This is much easier on my queasy stomach ;) He's a beautiful cat. I wish you would have caught him in the light so I could get a better look at those beautiful eyes :)

Great composition and I love the light in the background. Nicely subtle use of the lensbaby.

Cats have such unique personalities. I have one cat, Lulu, who loves being photographed. She sees me with my camera and starts tagging me around. My two black cats look at me like I'm the biggest idiot in the world.

Perfect use of the LB too...I love being able to selectively focus and "place" my blur with this lens. It's become one of my very favorites to use.
