I love the detail on the neck and the rest of the horse. The picture in its self was truely a great capture. Perfect timing and all |

I am amazed that your 55-200 produced this image. The colors and sharpness are outstanding. How far away were you from this subject?

Jimmy, I am so glad to read my confusion made your week :-). I thought I knew who the author was and I did not vote for it, but like Pasta said, this was a serious contender for a ribbon. I am surprised it did not finish at least in the top 5. Keep up the excellent work.

This is a really interesting photo, the bareback rider is indeed "in the zone", has a good handle on his excited horse. I wish the lips/gums weren't blown out, still a compelling shot and congrats on the top ten! |

Most excellent composition here, the timing helped a lot catching the horse's head up like that. Great job there. |

Wow. Technically and visually very good indeed. Emotionally very creepy. I don't like the expression of either of them, but for diametrically different reasons. Can't help the feeling, that the horse may not sign the "mutually beneficial" part of the partnership. The ice cold, almost ruthless expression of the jockey says it all. Not a shot to promote horse racing, but a splendid one for animal activists. Congratulations for catching such a unique moment! |

Based on the horse's head, I am not sure the horse views this as a partnership. Very nice image |

The lighting and colors in this are amazing! I'd love to know how you did it. Great capture of a moment with the horse. Interesting that the horse looks in crisis and the jockey is so relaxed. Great composition too. Overall I love it! |

I'd usually say horse and rider were partners, but this doesn't look like a partnership to me; they both look at least uncomfortable with their situation, it almost looks like an act of cruelty. |
