I was out in Newcastle as the sun went down taking some shamelessly nixter-inspired shots of shadows as I thought the effect could work well for the challenge, and I'm pretty pleased with this one. Was expecting to convert this to B&W but I preferred the original colour in the end.

Very little processing in this one - slightly cropped, some smart sharpen, levels layer, slight desaturation and a bit of burning in the bottom right corner.

This is one of those shots that I really like, but cannot clearly define why I like it. Nice work.

Nice shot - emotive and interesting. Sort of has a 'Robert Frank' feel. My guess it isn't commercial enough to do well in this challenge, but I like it!

Pleasant colours and interesting textures. The light is perfect to bring out all nuances in them. But the crop is pretty strange. I think you should either have included the heads, or - if the background would then have been too busy, or you didn't have the heads in the frame to begin with - gone all the way and taken the persons out completely. Then tilted the crop to have the shadows starting at the edge, and the rest of the frame just those neat textures.
