I was going to comment on how it's too bad I didn't get a better DOF. As I went through the setup, I started to question whether it is a lack of sharpness. Goslings can look fuzzy until viewed large. I still thing the little guy's out of the DOF, but I'll look at the original to be sure.
Anyway, this is what I was going to say...
It was evening and they were in shadow. I had to shoot as they walked by and used an f/8... oh well. Actually, I thought it was a more open aperture to get a fast enough shutter speed.
I still like the image and my goal was to better my highest finish. Thanks to you guys, I did just that! I also stopped trying to set up shots for these challenges. I was lucky enough to have a shot from the weekend that met the challenge.

deeper dof for the gosling is needed. Or is he just a fuzzy little chap? |

Man do I hate Canada Geese! (Because they poop all over my rollerblade/running path) but this is a great capture. |
