I hope voters agree with the "partnership" of it -- I got pretty burned on my last submission ("Even") for being borderline DNMC... I wonder how this will do. I had some better sight-lines in this shoot, but something about this side-view just kept drawing me back to it. I expect comments on the sight-line, it's too dark, too grainy, WB is off, slightly oof, etc. -- but I like it, and think all those features give this shot character. I'm trying to get over over-analyzing my entries and "just submitting it," so I'll just submit it and see how it goes...

Crop (retained original 4x6 aspect ratio; cropped to isolate subject -- I'm not sure I like the "bullseye," but I thought it worked out to be the most effective of all the crops I tried).
Cloned out minor/incidental lights from amplifiers near the outer edges of the frame.
A pleasant picture. Pity the focus is on the guitar neck, and not on the face. Or, for a soft focus picture, the neck is to sharp. Go figure. Lighting, colour, pose - very nice. I would probably have shifted the crop a bit, to give him more breathing space.
