 The Milky Way

With no Moon in this part of the world at present for this challenge have always wished to try a night shoot, the fact that it has been raining for the last week made it hard to get a shot, on the last night of shoot time there was a break in the clouds and the stars were out but not very good in the direction I had to shoot, would have liked southern cross, or the Orion, sadly there was not enough light fraction in the sky for this in there direction as the clouds wee rolling back in 6.50pm here, and it rained again as I was packing up, predict a 4.8 but that’s life.

Very nice Brian. I like the way everything sweeps up from the lower left to the upper right. The colors and light are beautiful, and so many stars!

Very odd image. Not a clue what is going on. Plants a photo shop. Then you have a photo shopped cloud with a lot of noise.

This is lovely - the swooshing sky and the green foliage for perspective. I hate the frame. It's very limiting to the photo.

I don't like the title because it's not the Milky Way: or, at least it's not visible in your photo. I do however like your photo: which is what we're here to judge. 8

The blue really makes this shot stand out and gives it a nice unique look. I am not sure about the bush though, as I find it a little distracting from the main image.

Beautiful. the green is maybe just touch over-saturated for me, and I'd have gone with a narrower boarder, but otherwise a great photo.

I think maybe it would have been better to go with either more of the tree in the image or not at all, to my eyes there's just enough to distract from the sky without being an interesting subject of itself
