 Taken early morning at the Denver Zoo. The sunlight was like a spotlight just on the lion's face.

He looks annoyed that you have invaded his morning sunbath. The lighting is very dramatic. It's nice seeing all that detail on his face.

WOWsers what an amazing image. The detail and composition are superb. My only tiny niggle is the light seems a tad too harsh. Have you played with the levels on this at all?

Very cool shot; the golden lighting suits him perfectly. The King has a scratch on his nose :-( Maybe he annoyed the Queen one too many times.
