The whole not cropping thing is killing me. I had originally cropped and did all my post processing and then remembered what challenge it was for so I took out the crop. Going to have to pay more attention when I take the shot (which is the intent right)

This was close, less than 3 feet away. I wanted to get a ground level shot but didn't want to lay down in all the goose poop under my feet so I just held the camera down lower and snapped the photo without being able to look through the viewfinder. Took 3 photos this way and 2 came out, the 3rd focused on a background object so the Baby and Mom were very blurry.

Very, very good, and knockout DOF. I don't think you were hurt by not cropping here, in fact, it may have inadvertantly kept you from cutting out so many great elements (well, ok, I guess there is a surfeit of grass at the bottom).

WOW - that narrow DOF is out of this world.

BAH! I was going to do a shot like this but the weather prevented it! Even so, great capture. The DoF is really neat, especially the way that the little flowers all over in the grass show up.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww look at how down he is.

*groan*
Ok, seriously that is the cutest duckling photo ever. It is killing me with the cuteness!

Woah...that's some seriously narrow DoF! Fantastic detail on the "ugly duckling."

This is so cute, great DOF.

And by the way, this is a side challenge, rules aren't very restrictive. You can crop!!!!

A couple of cute chicks - how can that be bad? :) This turned out really great - even without cropping - the framing is pretty good, IMO - I like the leading, out of focus goose in the distance.

hahah - yes trying to shoot without cropping afterward does make one have to think more before pressing the shutter.
