Here's some birds out in the middle of the river.
Before anyone makes a comment to straighten this, it is straight. The river flows south and at this part of the river I was facing northeast and that's the way the river flows.

This looks like a flood with no land in sight, just a bit of a branch sticking up as a brief refuge for the birds. I like the streaks in the water as a background for the bird silhouettes.

Looks like crows or grackles hangin' out. In this case, the wave direction does not indicate a straight horizon but the waterline at the front of the "log" or whatever that the bird is on could be used as the horizontal line. Using that as a guide, you can see that it is only slightly off horizontal (about .55 of a degree), if you really wanted to get nit picky. :)

You managed to capture some of the sun sparkle on the water, not an easy task. You might want to try a levels adjustment layer to enhance that a bit.

Looks like they are just hanging out. I sometimes find it difficult when working with one of my shot that is straight in relation to how it was and how it looks in the shot, usually I crop it straight for the photo b/c the viewer of the pic lacks the reference of seeing the whole scene and usually get too hung up that it looks crooked. Either way I don't find this to look that crooked.

"Before anyone makes a comment to straighten this, it is straight. "

True enough I'm sure . . but the question isn't are they really genuinely straight . .

The question is do they look straight ?

I find I often have to slightly rotate pictures that I know were straight, so that they 'look' correct :- )

The birds seem to be having a good time out there though.

Wonder what they were doing out there. They don't look like the type of birds to be eating anything from the water, or swimming. Maybe they just like hanging out and watching the water go by.
