Wow, good catch. I like the extended tongue. I know there are snakes where I shoot, but I never see them. |

Cool shot of the snake's tongue. I know what you mean about the battle of the sunlight, especially with water reflections thrown in. I agree with MaryO that a closer crop in on the snake and less wood might be good to try. |

Looks like a water snake or copper head, nice capture and well times to get that tongue sticking out! |

Well spotted Jess - I am always amazed at how snakes can swim - I've got arms and legs to help and I'm still rubbish at it :- ) |

Yep, getting the tongue makes this a much more interesting shot. Although seeing his pattern through the water is pretty interesting, too. Do you have the resolution for a tighter crop? That would eliminate the wood, which isn't nearly as cool as the snake and his tongue. |
