 The gull and the fountain, just adjusted the levels, nothing much more...oh yeah and cropped out the rest of the city scene at the top of the shot.

I'm a great fan of stop action water shots. Here it brings vitality to an otherwise very static shot of the gull. I don't mean static in a bad way, just that nothing much is going on. He seems to be considering what to do next. I like the textures, color, and sharp angles of the stone.

He's clearly imagining himself down at the coast, sitting on a breakwater as the waves splash over it . . wondering what it wa sthat drove him to the city in the first place ? Was it the bright lights, the Sushi bars, or the hope of finding a nice gull of his own ?

This is stunning. The background a sort of geometric composition with the wonderful life of the water whose arcs mirror that delightful detail in the tail.

I like the shot overall, but my eyes are torn between the background water and the gull. I love water shots so this works for me.

Cool (so to speak) composition. The water sprays are a soft frame and pretty much hide the building in the background.
