Before

I was going for a "silhouettes" kind of thing with this one. Never really got the sepia tone that I was looking for, but it was close. Also not sure what's going on in the sky in the opening in the clouds almost dead center. Any suggestions?

Steps were something like:
crop
levels
Convert to B&W
Levels again
burn in the foreground
solid color fill
resize

I love the silhouette look you achieved, and your choice of tones is beautiful!

I like what you did with the tilt, much improved. If you want to add some action in that center cloud blank space, try cloning in one of the other clouds from another area of the image. :) I like the dark/light that you ended up with. Kinda cool actually.

There is a sun ray, a shadow of a cloud, in the center of the frame at the top. It didn't show up clearly until you did the toning. Try reducing the amount of black empty space at the bottom in the finished shot, right up to near the horizon, and see if it makes a difference in the way this image comes across.
It's cool the way the trees in the far background give a big sense of scale to the shot.
This looks like a Central Florida pasture scene.

if it were me I would crop it more so that less of the (bottom) of the image shows.. then the focus would be on the palms and the silhouttes.. (do I make any sense??)
