First of all, i would like to thank everyone for comments, really appreciate.

Some of you would like to know how i did this.

First step, how to stay the wheel standing instead of lying down, use anything small which is able to hide from the capture scene, here I use paper rolled up and placed it under.

Set your camera ready with self-timer.

How to make smoke, simple - light a cigarette then place it under the wheel but touching nothing. You do not want to mess up the platform with ashes or tip the wheel over. Place the cigarette there for quite a while to accumulate the smoke. When you think it is ready to go, push the shutter and notice the countdown. Hide the cigarette before the cameras take the shot.

And of course some lighting will help, I use one table lamp on top and two spotlights on both side, left and right.

I actually tried to do this same shot and gave up in the end. Just to hard to get the lighting right without a proper flash. Yours suffers the same flash bounce but it much better than mine! Well done

Clever idea ... and the idea is ALWAYS the main event. Well executed but a bit hot at the edge of the wheel. 8 but bumped it to 9 on the last day.

Really neat! I wish that the bolt and the front of the wheel were not so blown out. I would really like to know how you did this.

great title and idea. lighting is too harsh, threads are washed out.

great photo :)
the only thing I would have done is dipped the thread and nut into some thined out black paint to dull it down a bit while still showing the thread

The overexposed highlights keep this from being a 10, but that is the only way to improve this. This is a great idea.

I like the idea however the picture is bland IMO with some elements of overexposure . there seems to be to much grey color in this picture for a color version. Did you try a Black and White conversion?

its a nice capture of smoke, but would've been much better with a dark background

Nice pun

Interesting idea. The smoke adds impact to the photo. The bolt and parts of the wheel seem overexplosed.

So close! The bright flash-highlights and shadows on the background are big minuses for me. Fabulous idea tho. Perhaps some light from behind would help illuminate the smoke, which would allow less flash, so you could use a diffuser.

Good idea and nice effort, but the colors are dull, it's overexposed in the front, has some disturbing shadows from the background and it's probably generally horrible for ppl trying to quit smoking. Marked it up a bit for originality.
