The original photo was taken at sunset, capturing the feathery characteristic of the springtime grasses. I walk my dog near this area almost every day, and these grasses have just popped up after some recent rain. For the High Contrast submission, editing included tighter cropping, adjusting the colors to exaggerate the original reds and greens into a purple, and modifying the contrast to add more impact to the photo.
