I don't know why I do this sometimes. :-/ But, here is a shot anyway.

This was a really big John Deere Tractor wheel. Been done before I know, but I just can't get anything else to work. :-(

Very little post processing -- Cropped, brightness/contrast, saturation, resized, submit.

Took me a while to see this, but once I did, I really started to like it. Nice work.

Took me awhile to figure out what it is... good picture, I like the out-of-focus objects in the right foreground. Rating: 8

great, but need to see a bit more of the wheel to make it more recognizable or use a different wheel/ tread pattern, some people might not get it

Thed angle takes away from the effect you were going for.I had to sit there for a while to figure out what it was. great idea though.

Cool idea! There isn't enough of the tread showing to really intimidate me--takes awhile to understand what this is and by then I'm not scared, the impact is lost. I wonder if a similar composition on the vertical would work better?

It took me a while to figure out what this was. It's a creative idea, but the composition falls a little flat. The verticals, horizontals and diagonals all cancel each other out, making a rather static image. If you try cropping off about a third of the bottom, you get a more dynamic image. The more strongly horizontal shape gives the horizontal lines just enough more strength.

I think I'm missing something here?

this is interesting... but unfortunately the image does not transmit the fear i would have to feel according to the title; nevertheless it's good that you tried to make something different...

This shots makes me laugh; good work. I like the tightness of the shot - adds a bit to the title - but it seems to be lacking in texture somehow... maybe a better manual focus would have helped... Also, it's a bit hard to determine where you are in the shot. It doesn't jump at you (so to speak). I can see that hurting you as people glance and vote without really examining and figuring out the shot.

It took a while to figure this one out. Maybe back up to sow more?

Very abstract view. I think it's a good thing we know the topic of the challenge.
