 This is my friend Angela. She's an amazingly talented balerina. She's going away to a ballet boarding school in Canada and i really wanted a good picture of her before she left. The unique lighting comes from my bedroom windows that are covered with white sheer drapes. With the Dof being so small, they were blurred out to a perfect white after editing.

this is a lovely image, but i'm afraid it's not really a high contrast image. high contrast has a limited tonal range of high and low tones, with very few intermediate tones. the ultimate high contrast is pure black and white, no greys. the more greys or intermediate tones, the less high contrast it is.
