I could have used a little deeper DOF on this shot, but it is what it is... this makes me want to cry.

It is my apple tree: which was broken in half in a recent storm. It is now dying. It used to bear pretty little green apples that were about the size of your fist.

Now, these are all that is left: and they are falling off left and right. Notice the brown on the leaves, they all look like that :(

Anyway, makes for interesting texture I suppose...

Yep, looks to be a good texture. That stinks about your tree, but hopefully you'll plant another (or two).

Interesting texture and sorry about the tree. They can become real parts of our lives.

Very nice textures. This could be used as an overlay

Really??? ;-)

It is sad. I had a similar apple tree right outside my office door in my back yard and a storm came through a few years back and just toppled it. I never dug out the stump which was laid over on its side and it has since started growing branches straight up out of the side of the stump.

It is an interesting texture - at first I thought it was dirt.

Awww I'm sorry to hear about the tree.

As for the picture I think even that a shallower dof would be interesting to isolate out more a part of the texture rather than having it be a bit overwhelming as it is. I.e the eye is sort of pulled all over the place. It depends as well on how close your lens can focus.
