This was achieved by using empty layers (6 of them... one for each colour) changed to colour blending mode.

I used a very soft brush set at about 24% opacity and 24% flow and with a very steady hand and my wacom tablet, coloured each one over the whole flower.

Then I went for a second and third pass on the shadow parts and inside the flowers. Then, I went layer by layer and reduced the opacity until I got the hue I was after.

Then I flattened it and poof! Instant colour :)

Hi,

I didn't see what you were up to in the thumbnails, but this is great. I doubt this effect would never have occured to me.
