 Taken moments ago on the stormy south coast. Stumbled onto this location which allowed me to get close to the surf with out to much risk of getting wet... or so I thought. I got pretty wet but miraculously my camera escaped unharmed. I have one frame where it looks like the camera is getting splashed with an huge wave, but it survived.

Wooohooo... didnt think this would get a ribbon when I submitted it. It was an last minute submission. Stayed up until 3am the night before deadline editing it. Thanks all for the good votes and constructive comments.

Wonderful capture on this. Love the lighting, water, and rocks. Is that steam way off in the distance from the lava? This was my favorite shot of the week.

Great image. My favorite in this challenge, so far. This is truly high contrast.... with no details lost in the highlights and not too many lost in the shadows. Great!
