I finally got away from the house, woohoo! I went up the tram in Albuquerque. It is the longest tram in the world at 2.7 miles, and climbs 3800 feet from the base of the mountain to the peak. It was a great view, but not only were the windows of the car tinted, but there was wicked reflection going on, very challenging for photography. This was taken when we reached the top. This is the redjulep treatment -- layers of LucisArt Whyeth then Redfield Perfectum, repeated to taste :-) The original is overexposed because I was trying to do some HDR of the scenery (waste of time not only because of the tinted windows and reflections, but because of the time of day, around noon, when we went was of course the worst possible light). Anyway, I've found that I prefer the results of the 'redjulep' treatment when I start with an overexposed image because I don't get as many weird color artifacts from Whyeth. Also, I was shooting into the sun on purpose, I love lens flares :-)

The distortion and choice of processing work great together with this image! I loved seeing the original, too.

Wow - very cool work indeed. Had I just seen this edited image I would have not thought as much of it. But as compared to its original you did an amazing job with it.

I never would have believed you could pull this out of the original if you hadn't posted the original.

Very well done. And a splendid scene. You saw the potential.
