 One of two bronze statues in the garden at the Kannon Temple. Kannon is known as the Goddess of Mercy. In Chinese she's Guan Yin. The same Kannon as Canon cameras were named after.
It's the same temple where I shot my highest-scoring Challenge photo last year...

HDR from five jpg images, processed on Dynamic Photo HDR. Cloned out a bit of red cloth at the bottom left.

Good job on the HDR, you avoided that over the top HDR effect. That is so cool to learn that about Canon.

Excellent composition and colors. I'm usually not a fan of photos of statues or sculptures, but this really works.

This has much better clarity and exposure control than I expected from the thumbnail. The way the palm leaves fan out over her head make a good backdrop.

And thanks for the fascinating info on Canon/Kannon. Who knew!
