 same place i took the caterpillars for day 8 ..
this is day 8 ..

for day 8 i'd broken the branch they were on so i could take a better photograph being on a bit'v a slope and it was also quite slippery .. anyway yesterday i passed the wattle bush again and they'd all moved to another branch, probably because their food source had dried up .
after doing all that processing i think the original is better in a way, because of its simplicity ..
this is the original ..

and the workflow to give you an idea how it was processed ..

i've kept layers where i wouldnt usually so you can see the steps better and the masks etc ..

What an amazing shot! Very vibrant and crisp.
I would agree with you regarding the original. I like the color enhancement, but the background addition and border are a little distracting.
