Pesky when this happens, but definitely a show of strength. 10

cool idea

you may have croped (read: phisically removed, noting to do with PS ;) the one on the rear leaving the main subject alone, it's somehow distracting.

A good example of this kind of strength - nature's ability to break through barriers. I think the picture would be improved by cropping some of the background. It distracts and dilutes the message.

Great image! I'm quite fond of the persistence of plants growing through pavement as well :)

You gotta wonder about plants like these. If I TRIED to grow one, I'd probably kill it, yet they grow in spots like this! Anyway, the shot is okay I think. To improve it, I would crop out all the stuff at the top.

I would like this photo mor if all I saw was the asphalt, and not the fence and other things. Keep it simple with just the plant and parking lot.

The idea is great, but it seems to lack some interest. I do like the arrow underneath the plant.

I think this would have been stronger if you couldn't see the green around the outside...

Good entry but needs some contrast and tighter cropping. Good luck in the challenge.

removing the smaller weed in the lower right would have added to the effect. the focus is a bit off. crop out everything in the background that isn't pavement. good concept.

persistent weed...... good subject, but you already heard that this should be cropped at the top. The embedded arrow and foilage alone is very strong.

Good idea, but boring picture. Try to make it more attractive

i was thinking of something like this ... i'd like it better if there were only asphalt around (top cropped)
