Challenge: A Single Line (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: Challenge Entries
Camera: Pentax K10D
Location: Eagan MN
Date: Jun 18, 2008
Aperture: F13
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/100
Galleries: Landscape
Date Uploaded: Jun 21, 2008

This shot was taken, unfortunately, at mid day. I adjusted the curves just a bit to minimize the bright contrasts and added a blur layer with a gradient mask to give the appearance of a limited depth of field. Both the row and orange barrels and the white strip are single, but related, lines. I hope that does not make the shot a DNMC.

Looks like you blurred the background by hand. It's a bit distracting, because it looks more fuzzy than blurry.

Ah, the construction colors of summer! Not one of my favorite lines to encounter.

Quirky. The choice for softness intrigues me.

I wish the line of barriers were continuous and more sharply focused. Good idea, though.

Hey this is simple and really fits the challenge perfectly! Nice editing and DOF. You can almost feel the heat of the day. Nicely done.

Love the colours and processing, I wonder if a different angle might have visually closed the gap a little between the front one and the rest of the line.
