Oh, man, the setup. I've never done a real setup before, and I certainly don't have the equipment. Backdrop was some brown sheets we taped to the archway behind us (may have destroyed the paint job...), lighting was a couple of 75W bulbs-on-cords as well as a 550W 6" Theatrical Fresnel coming at us from the front (hence the bright highlight on the couch). The sheets came apart at the seams in the center, so I had to blow out the contrast to hide it, so that's why you can't see her hair. Messy moving around caused the white sliver on the ground (I was the male model, my girlfriend the female--I shot this on a timer) to show up. All in all, I'm amazed it came out as well as it did--wayy better than my last entry, Self Defense, in which I had to make do without my huge light. Still don't have a flash unit.

Post: Desat, Curves, curves again, USM, save for web. I wish this was advanced editing something awful.

Sorry if I've said too much. And I love 16:9.

I like this. Two people with real expressions so that the viewer can contemplate what might be passing. I come up with complacency versus resentment. Your BW treatment serves this up quite well. (I am moved that you imperiled your paint job in setting this up - no sacrifice is too great for art).

Love how you set this up, and the facial expressions fit perfectly!

I would rather called this picture Wrath, the look of the girl says it all :)

I like the randomness of the shot- I mean, I get it- hes got a drink on the leather couch, shes in a chair- but shes got great bruises on the top of her feet/ that makes the shot.

He looks like he is a little lustful... not envious.

I like the idea and the expressions, but the crop bothers me. His head is too close to the top of the frame, his hand with the glass too close on the left and the feet are abruptly cut off at the ankles.
