People are gonna pooh pooh the selective desat but I really wanted this man's shirt to stand out. (Oh and yeah, I did a sucky job with the desat - wish this was Advanced Editing!)

Another pic from the Relay for Life event I participated in. These shirts are significant because they are worn by those who have survived and are beating cancer. (See how the selective desat makes the focal point of the pic jump out at you?) To me it's a great sign of triumph and hope for others.

Here is the other pic from the event (with updated info):

EXTREMELY clever shot!!!!!!!!! Now, this one has a real message and the shot is perfect for it! Love that you have highlighted the message by the color select desat! Really great job! Hats off to ya for this one, Woman! You should be in advertising!

No word of a lie, the first thing I thought when I saw that photo was 'Great Selective Desat'

Really rich vibrancy in the purple.

A poigniant image and all the better for being a 'faceless' protrait as it emphasises that cancer can strike anyone...And as importantly anyone can beat it

Strong message, strong photo

I'm glad you've entered this and the other picture. Wonderful messages conveyed.

I love the purple, very rich. And I love how you've captured the man walking towards the group of people and leaving who knows what behind (uh, well, I guess we know what he's leaving ;). Great job!

Good job. The subject is very clearly communicated, and I think you did an excellent job of editing under the basic rules.

Too much emphasis on the t-shirt. Busy distracting background with all those people. Can you do selective color in basic editing?
