| I really like the concept of a rural mailbox in a rural landscape. I think I would like the image better if the mailbox was off center more, and maybe a bit smaller. As I look at the image, I feel a little frustrated that I can't see more of background scene. |

Steve - an artistic effort in the rural challenge. I think the shot has a lot of potential, from the deep contrast between the black mailbox and the bright white letters, to the red flag up telling us there is some anticipation to the shot, to the flatness of the ground speaking rural farming. But I wonder about the choice of colors and hues in the sky - it seems very muted. Also, I wonder if a wider shot with the mailbox a bit over to the left and smaller on screen would have provided more of a feel of open space. In addition, by placing the box a bit to the left, you may have been able to cover the houses up on the left of the image and made this feel even more rural.
