Old Post Office building in centre of Edinburgh: going to be turned into a hotel, I think. Just a husk at the moment, only held up by these 'flying butresses'. I'll add another pic of the whole building to my portfolio after the challange voting is complete. Desaturated intense red metalwork. Increased contrast and small amount of sharpening. Cropping was the hardest part as locations to shoot this were very limited...much distractions/blown detail to get rid of.

Really gothic and old and imposing, but with this modern steel scaffolding crawling up it... the hanging bell at the bottom is a fantasic detail

Those bars really do look like flexed arms holding up the windows. And the fact that the building stands despite whatever years is great as well. 8

I' prefer this picture being un-skewed.

Would be a little better if it were level.

Picture seems tilted to the left.

and your house renovation will be completed by . . . 2017.

it seems like it could have been rotated a bit (ie: currently left leaning) and maybe b&w would have made it more powerful.

Image looks a little too dark, but just my opinion

The idea and the conection to the title is good. The image it self has a litle dull apearance. Seems litle underexposed and needs more colorsaturation and contrast. Maybe better B&W with increast contrast would have been better.

The aparent tilt of the corner (well, I know it's a perspective problem) is a bit distracting
