Everything else in the house is florescent or other uninteresting type. This has some class. But I suppose that I will eventually replace with some fancy LED.

HDR image created from seven images with exposure times ranging from 1/2 to 1/8000 second. ND8 filter used because even at 1/8000 and F/11 the filament would be overexposed. Photomatix Pro reports a dynamic range of 1,845,055:1.

Select and darken (using curves) the background
Crop
Resize to 720 pixels high
Smart sharpen 50%
Save for web.

A nice detailed shot, but some how it seems missing some "Wow factor". Might be perspective or something in post processing adjustments. Not totally sure.

Simple original idea.. IMO would have gone over better with a clean, clear bulb..5
