 I have been looking at this tree for the last four years from across the valley some distance away. I eventually decided to go up there and as we arrived I noticed the sun starting to set right behind the tree. This is my first submission to DPChallenge and only the second time I have taken the camera out.

Only editing was to adjust the colour balance and saturation a little to bring the vibrance back.

too bad about the flares. i wouldn't have centered the tree

Dig the colors and pic, but maybe cropping out the bottom could increase the focus and remove the problem with the flare in the corner.
