 develop the raw with dpp. in photoshop: levels, curves, H&S, D&S, smart sharpen. clone out a small piece of wire near the unmbrella and something near the earth,S&H, "clean " the background with the burn tool.

Neat Idea.
I can't tell from the perspective that the globe is being covered by the parasol, maybe bring it down so it covers part of the globe?

Great idea and execution! If there was only a way (in advanced editing) to avoid the hand holding the umbrella :-)

Interesting editorial concept. I think you might have way too much color going on. Perhaps an umbrella that is more atonal, I like the bright color, but there is alot to look at.

I really like the idea here.. I personally would have liked this better without the trash and maybe a woman's hand holding that pretty pink umbrella. :P 7

i love the umbrella and the globe and the title - that all works for me very well. but i really don't understand the cans in this shot - they don't seem to fit this particular image (yes I understand the umbrella is keeping the dirt away- but it doesn't seem to connect it for me)
