The original idea was to plant up the seedling in an old baked beans tin ... until I discovered my other half had eaten all the beans so no tins available! Had to make do with a glass yoghurt pot instead. The cutting is of a basil plant and I also have tomatoes, rocket, beans, aubergine, cauliflowers and raspberries and strawberries growing in the garden.

Great concept and well executed shot. Nice sharp focus on the plant. I think the main thing that would make this more DPC friendly and crank the score up would be to clean up the background. The same exact plant/jar subject against a pure white background would probably get you .5 to a full point higher.

nice simple sentiment here - i think the jar seems a bit out of focus compared to the leaves - and since the jar is the 'recycled' part - i think having it in focus is important here
