LOL at the title; as a San Diego native and one who's actually SAILED on the Star of India (neé Euterpe) I'm unaware of any such captain of her :-) Incidentally, the smaller vessel on the cradle is Butcher Boy, and I actually had a chance to sail on HER once in her pre-restoration state. I go back a ways on the San Diego waterfront...

I like the perspective on this and it's well exposed. I don't see the need for the desat in this case - I think the straight B&W would work nicely. That said, the red doesn't hurt the shot either.

Generally, I like the composition, though it is a bit tight on the left, but the red stripe, being different from the red stripe, makes it seem as if *that* should be the main focus of the shot, and I don't know that that is what you intended.

parhaps a little dark...the selective desat doesn't work for me, neither do the buildings in the bg...I like the viewpoint and perspective though 6
