The Image: The bottom of our daughter's drink bottle...Macro with a polarising filter backlit by a flouro 5000k light

The Edit: Levels, USM, Selective colour, desat, contrast, d and b...not in that order. Cloned off some dust.

The Prediction: 6????

Post: well for once my prediction was right...did OK...thought it might do slightly better but people obviously didn't quite get it

Enzo, I nearly entered a VERY similar image but I couldn't get it as "right" as I wanted to so I did the jam jar one instead. I love the way yours turned out. freakin_hilarious described it to a "T": Abstract yet recognizable.

I see I was not the only one with this idea. Yours did much better than mine. (As it should have, it is much better!) Hmmm. A polarizing filter for a macro. I'll have to keep the idea in mind, thanks.

excellent abstract macro - solid lighting, wonderful shapes and textures, great use of water drops to add contrast - the best macro of this entire challenge
