 This challenge was hard for me. From the shooting to the processing, urban photography is just not my fortay. I'm not feeling particuarly confident about this image. I feel like there's alot wrong with it and that it's a bit over processed. Mostly I hate my sky. A better sky may have saved this. But it was overcast so there wasn't anything of interest going on up there, and there wasn't much light getting down to me on the ground through the buildings so I had to shoot a long exposure and wound up blowing out alot of spots. But this was the most dynamic image compositionally so I went with it.

On a happier note, it was alot of fun shooting downtown because so many people were interested in what I was doing. I made a few friends :) Oh and after submitting this I saw that an image of this same building and catwalk finished top 20 in the last urban landscapes. I just thought that was cool. Yay Houstonians! (even if I do grumble about getting bored with it)

Jess, this one was yours? WAY TO GO!!!! I just read your description, and I can't believe you found so much wrong with it. I think it is awesome -- and it should have gotten a much higher score. I like the sky. But congratulations on a personal best :)

Yayy Houston! Although. . .what I like the best about it are the Astros. . .and you of course :)

To me this seems more an architectural shot more than a landscape.
